MESQUITE -- The Pahrump Valley girls rolled to an 11-0 lead in the first three minutes, but struggled in the remaining time to escape with a 47-39 victory in their Southern Nevada Class 3-A League basketball opener against homestanding Virgin Valley Friday night.
