The 2006-2007 Pahrump Valley wrestling team finished second in the Nevada Class 3-A state tournament, after running its championship streak to three seasons in Southern 3-A league and regional competition.

Elias Armendariz (112 pounds), James Chapman (135) and Jeremiah Ward (152) won individual titles for the Trojans, who lost by eight points to Spring Creek in the battle for the team championship at Spanish Springs High School in Sparks.

The girls basketball team from Pahrump Valley was 30-4 in the 2006-2007 season, including a 46-33 loss to Spring Creek in the state Class 3-A title game at The Orleans Arena in Las Vegas.

The PVHS boys team lost 41-32 to Northern Nevada League champion Dayton in the state 3-A semifinals at Green Valley High School. It was the first state tournament appearance for the Trojans since 2000.
