Casa Adame Construction Co. has grown to include multiple projects like the old Mafia Mike building, the animal hospital, 56 apartment units, six duplexes and one triplex for an investor.

Gabriel Adame, owner, also worked as general manager with Ron Murphy Construction on both the Catholic church and the sewer treatment plant.

Adame came to the U.S. in 1992 and worked as a busboy at restaurants in Las Vegas, making all of $5.25 an hour. Those who remember seeing advertisements of young boys in Mexico trying to sell gum to U.S. citizens -- Adame was one of those boys.

He started working in construction in 2005 with Ron Murphy Construction Co. He first remodeled mobile homes.

Adame came to Pahrump in 1999, built his own home and is still living in that home. He also worked with Red Rock Builders in the construction of new homes for four years before starting his own company in 2006.

Today he does all types of construction work. With 15 years experience, he holds two licenses; one as a main builder and one as a master carpenter. He is also working on expanding to include a drywall/framing company and the purchase of a cabinet builders company.

Adame said, "It took a lot of hard work and effort but I was soon able to start my own construction company, which is what I planned to do when I came to the U.S. I brought my wife, Jenny, and three children to Pahrump for a better place for the kids to grow."

Moe Heshmati, investor for El Jefe Restaurant and bar, said, "I feel very comfortable with Adame. He does a good job and his prices are good and fair. He takes his time and his work is excellent."

Adame is currently working on the new Pahrump Valley Wineries, doing business as Sanders Family Winery of Pahrump Valley Vineyards, owned by Jack Sanders.

Sanders said, "Gabriel has done work for me before. I like how he operates."

The contract with Sanders is open ended as the plan is to include a restaurant and bed and breakfast. There are also plans to increase brands of wines among other new things.

Sanders added, "I've known Gabriel for three years. Of all the people to consider, I would choose him above them all. His contract with me could reach more than a million dollars."
