BUTCH BORASKY, Nye County commissioner: A fancy stereo system for the new Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck and a round-trip, first-class airline ticket to a conference in Washington, D.C.

ED GOEDHART, Nevada Assemblyman, District 36: A cowboy hat to maintain that western image and some dog biscuits for his canine companion.

ROB ROBERTS, Nye County school superintendent: More golden shovels for ground breaking ceremonies at some new schools.

LAURAYNE MURRAY, Pahrump town board chairwoman: A brand new federal detention center with lots of well-paid guards.

JONI EASTLEY, Nye County commissioner: A major solar energy company, or any company for that matter, locating at the Tonopah Airport.

GARY HOLLIS, Nye County Commission chairman: A refurbished Calvada Eye building for county use, with a plaque on the wall containing the names of the present board of commissioners. Also, a desert tortoise sanctuary in his back yard, with a pool and rocks for the critters to play in.

TOM HUSTED, Valley Electric Association chief executive officer: A warehouse full of generators to hand out to customers during the next extended power blackout.

SAMSON YAO, Nye County public works director: A traffic light at Homestead Road and Highway 160.
