HONOLULU -- Colt Brennan doesn't have the Heisman Trophy to show off, but he earned something else that he'll proudly display: a college diploma. The record-breaking quarterback graduated from the University of Hawaii on Sunday with a degree in communications. ``Like everything this year, it's kind of been a surreal feeling,'' said Brennan, who was mobbed by fellow graduates for autographs and photos. Brennan was among 1,200 graduates who participated in commencement ceremonies. He wore a maile lei, rubber slippers, a graduation cap that read, ``12-0,'' and a big smile. Brennan, who finished third in the Heisman voting a week ago, led the 10th-ranked Warriors (12-0) to their finest season in school history. Hawaii finished the regular season as the nation's only unbeaten team, won its first outright Western Athletic Conference championship and earned a Sugar Bowl bid to face No. 4 Georgia on Jan. 1. Brennan's accomplishments did not go unnoticed. One of the commencement speakers wore his No. 15 jersey. ``The feeling is priceless,'' Brennan said. ``I just went to the Heisman Trophy (presentation). I just went 12-0. Those feelings and rewards ... don't really compare to the gratification of finishing school.'' Soon, he'll be entering the ``real world,'' as an NFL quarterback. ``I'd like to go play football if I can,'' he said. ``But the cool thing is, I've got a degree so if football doesn't work out, I'm all set. I'll be fine. I'll be just fine.''
