Richmond test track for Nationwide seriesTHE ASSOCIATED PRESS
RICHMOND, Va. -- Richmond International Raceway is being tapped to host official tests next season for the NASCAR Nationwide Series. Officials say the track will be one of just four tracks -- and the only short track -- permitted to host official testing for the former Busch Series. Testing is scheduled for March 24-25. Fans will continue to be allowed to watch the test sessions from the grandstands free of charge. NASCAR created the track testing policy in 2006, presetting a schedule for when and where to conduct tests. The tests are the only opportunities teams will have to test at each of the tracks. |
