HORACE LANGFORD, JR. / PVT Charles Cohn comforts his pet kitty after it was brought alive out of an apartment fire Tuesday. Ten local residents were displaced when the flames burned down a single-story apartment complex on Bolling Street. Fire Chief Scott Lewis said there was a heavy fire in one apartment upon his department's arrival. Tragically, three pets were lost in the fire, although five other cats were saved. Lewis said the fire is still under investigation by the Pahrump Valley Fire Rescue Service but so far appears to have been accidental.
