Gorman wins Las Vegas Bishop Gorman defeated Reno McQueen 38-17 Saturday to win the Nevada Class 4-A football championship. Gorman is in the Southwest Division of the Sunset Region, which will add Pahrump Valley as a member in the 2008-2009 school year. Other state champions this season were Tonopah, Class A; Needles, Calif., 2-A, and Overton Moapa Valley, 3-A. Cj Azaria wants to know if anyone in Pahrump is interested in forming a tennis organization. "We want people of all ages, from toddlers to seniors to sign up, if they are interested in tennis," said Azaria. Ryan Hammar-Sam Tietjen had 38, Shyanne Dixon-Craig Moore 40, David Markwell-Shawn Dixon 40, and Anthony Worden-Luke Tietjen 42. Winners received Christmas-oriented prizes. |
