Letter to the Editor
Lead by example This has nothing to do with what Darrin Tuck did or didn't do. Sheriff Tony DeMeo -- here's a man that is supposed to enforce the law, uphold the law, obey the law, but I guess he thinks he is above the law. To totally ignore a subpoena to court and not go, what would Justice of the Peace Tina Brisebill do if it was someone else? What DeMeo said in the newspaper should have been said in court. Like anybody else, maybe he and Brisebill set precedent for everyone else -- if you get a subpoena to court, just don't go! What would happen if a deputy didn't show up who was served with a subpoena? They would be fined and given time off. Mr. DeMeo, "Don't we lead by example?" TOM WRIGHT |
