Special to the PVT At the recent Duel in the Desert karate tournament at the Tuscany Hotel in Las Vegas, several trophies were brought back to Pahrump by Dragon Cloud Dojo students. Upper left, Steven McKnight took a second place in traditional kata (forms), 18 and over. At center, Tom Wujek took second place in traditional kata for 35 and over. At lower left, Anthony Vegas won a second-place trophy in point sparring, 10-12 years, and a third place slot in open forms for the same age group. His sister, Lissette Vegas, won honorable mention in traditional forms. At right is sensei Jose Hernandez, who conducts the dojo's classes.
