Skate Zone action ends

Skate Zone Hockey League summer action ended, with the Dragons, Godzillas, and Sharks winning league titles and the Warriors beating the Sharks to win the 14 & Older playoff championship.

In the 7&Under league, the Dragons were 6-4, with the Sharks 4-6.

In the 8-13 group, the Godzillas finished 5-4-1, with the Lightning at 4-5-1.

In the 14&Older League, the Sharks were 6-1-3, the Warriors 6-3-1, the Kings 5-4-1, and the Cobras 3-7.

A referees clinic and new-season meeting will be held Aug. 30 at 6 p.m. in the Skate Zone. A league for players 16 and older is to be organized, according to Debbie Brooks.

Greenwood scores ace

Everette Greenwood shot his second hole-in-one in two weeks at the Lakeview Executive Golf course Wednesday.

Greenwood, using an 8-iron, got the ace on the par 3, 171-yard fourth hole.

Three share league lead

VEA, Pahrump Plumbing & Heating, and Sliders are at 4-2 to share the lead in the Co-Ed Softball League, after games played through Monday at Petrack Park.

Bolling Construction, Slammers and Cabinet Guy are each 3-3. At 2-4 are Rock Stars, and 0-6 is North Contracting.

Pool league play continues

Town Hall No. 2 is 8-2 and leads the Pahrump Valley 8-Ball Pool League, in matches played through Aug. 15.

Arnie's No. 1 is 7-3, as are Arnie's No. 2 and Town Hall No. 1. Eve-N-Keel is 5-5; Our Bar 3-7; Valley Bar 1-9, and Our Bar No. 2 0-5.

Misa Carlson, 8-0, leads the individuals. Ricardo Cortez Jr. is 7-2; Mike Scott 6-2; Roger Long 6-2, and Ricardo Cortez 6-2.

In 9-ball action, Arnie's No. 1 is 126-74, Town Hall No. 3 107-93; Arnie's No. 2 117-83; Our Bar 107-93; Town Hall No. 1 103-95; Eve-N-Keel 89-111; Town Hall No. 2 90-110; Rusty's No. 2 90-110, and Oscar's-Rusty's No. 1 80-120.

Mike Provenza is 30-10 to lead the individual standings. Roger Long is 28-12, Antonio Cortez 28-12; Sherry Dalton 28-12; Mike Scott 26-14; Ricardo Cortez 26-14; Joe Merritt 26-14; Gary Barcus 26-9, and Walt Faas 25-15.
