The Vegas-to-Reno Off-Road Race, sanctioned by Best in the Desert, will start Friday morning in Johnnie. The finish line, almost 560 miles away, is near Dayton.

Pit stops will be at Specter (17.6 miles from the start), Lone Butte (50.5), Pioneer (Beatty) (82.2), Scotty's Junction (114.3), Cottontail (156.2), Goldfield (186.6), Tonopah (226.9), Miller's (247.5), Big Smokey Valley (289), Redlich (335.1), Mina (371.2), Luning (405.2), Rawhide (449.3), Top Gun (484.3), Weeks (514.3) and Dayton (559.3).

Quads and motorcycles -- excluded from the Terrible's Town 250 last spring -- will compete in this event and start from Johnnie at 6 a.m. Friday. Cars, trucks and UTVs will leave at 10:30 a.m.
