A warrant has been issued by Nye County officials for Monique Marie Ann Hatrick, 42, of Houston, Texas, for kidnapping.

Sheriff's Dep.'s Boruchowitz and Schiller were dispatched to take a report about an unnamed 17-year-old runaway juvenile.

After an extensive investigation, however, Boruchowitz discovered that Hatrick, who was identified as a non-custodial relative of the juvenile's, had allegedly paid an individual in Pahrump to take the juvenile to California.

Once in California, an airplane ticket was purchased so the juvenile could go to Houston, Texas.

At last report, the sheriff's office said the youth was still in Texas with Hatrick.

A warrant for kidnapping was taken out on Hatrick and turned over to the Houston Police Department's Fugitive Department for the execution of the warrant and recovery of the girl.

Once arrested, the sheriff's office said that Hatrick will be extradited to Pahrump to face charges.
