A battering at Petrack Park on Friday, Aug. 4, led to the arrest of a number of individuals who allegedly either took part in, or helped to organizet.

Sheriff's office Dep. Boruchowitz was on routine patrol at approximately 10:55 p.m. when he noticed Tiffanie Drake, 18, in a vehicle at the park.

Drake appeared to be in distress so Boruchowitz stopped to investigate.

The investigation revealed that Drake had just been beaten in the park.

According to the sheriff's office, Drake had been lured there by her ex-boyfriend, Cody Meeker, 18, of Pahrump.

When Drake arrived and began speaking to Meeker, the victim said, her ex-roommate, Randi Smithson, 21, came out of the dark and allegedly clobbered Drake. Further investigation reportedly led to the discovery of several other individuals' involvement, including Riely Bistline, 19, also an ex-roommate of Drake's.

The sheriff's office also reported that Ryan Woods, 19, Devin Schneider, 18, Nicholas Stanton, 18, and an unnamed juvenile "were all involved in orchestrating for this battery to occur."

Furthermore, the sheriff's office reported that all seven people involved were present at the park and watched Smithson beat up Drake and "assisted their additional co-conspirators get away."

Additionally, the sheriff's office reported that "all suspects involved in the altercation lied to deputies in an effort to avoid being apprehended for the incident that had occurred."

Smithson, Meeker, and Bistline were arrested and booked on charges of domestic battery, conspiracy, obstructing a peace officer, and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

They are each being held on $6,764 bail.

Woods and Schneider were arrested and booked on charges of battery, conspiracy, obstructing a peace officer, and contributing to a delinquency of a minor and are being held on $4,396 bail each.

Stanton has had charges of battery, conspiracy, and contributing to the delinquency of a minor filed against him.
