Deputies find man under covers
By CHRISTINA EICHELKRAUT
Jason Feedle, 34, was arrested last Monday after literally trying to hide under the covers from sheriff's deputies. The deputies were dispatched to a residence on South Money Street after a third party reported a domestic violence incident there. The reporting party told dispatchers that Chelsea L. Hart, 30, was injured but refused medical service. When deputies arrived at the residence, the victim told them Feedle had fled the scene on foot and was heading south on Pahrump Valley Boulevard. Hart then wrote out a statement alleging that Feedle punched her in the face with a closed fist, resulting in redness on her right cheek and the left side of her lower lip. Shortly after giving the deputy the written statement, however, Hart informed deputies that Feedle was actually in the bedroom closet and had threatened to kill her, her 4-year-old daughter and her 5-month-old son, if she told the officers he was there. Dep.'s Becht and O'Donnell, and Sgt. Jackson, then went into the bedroom and, as in a scene from a bedroom farce on the silver screen, "found the suspect hiding underneath a blanket in the master bedroom." Feedle was arrested without further incident and booked on a domestic battery charge. It was also discovered he had two outstanding warrants from Florida. Extradition proceedings to that state are expected. |
