Anthony McCoy, 18, was arrested Tuesday, July 24, along with seven juveniles at his Karen Street apartment for possession of drug paraphernalia and unlawful use of a controlled substance.

Sheriff's Dep. MacNeil was dispatched to the residence at about 1 p.m. in response to a reported suicide threat.

The deputy arrived to find Dep. Curtin and Sgt. Horn already on the scene.

McCoy was in the apartment with the juveniles.

MacNeil asked McCoy and the juveniles if they had smoked any marijuana within the previous 24 hours, to which everyone admitted they had.

A bowl from a marijuana pipe with resin was also located at the residence, and McCoy reportedly said he used the pipe to smoke marijuana.

McCoy was transported to the Nye County Detention Center and booked on possession of narcotic paraphernalia and unlawful use of a controlled substance.

He is being held on $5,632 bail.

The seven juveniles were taken into custody by Juvenile Probation Officer Jones.
