Drug bust nets four

Four adults and one juvenile were arrested last Saturday when sheriff's detectives, patrol deputies and Street Crime Unit officers served a search warrant at 2120 Dandelion St., No. 1.

When officers served the warrant, seven people and a baby were found inside the residence along with a substantial amount of drugs and money.

In one room, a zip-lock bag containing multiple smaller bags of marijuana, each with an approximate weight of 1/8 ounce, was found.

Another zip-lock bag, this one containing parceled out plastic bags of marijuana of an eighth to quarter ounce each, was located in a different room along with pills, marijuana cigarettes, and an undisclosed amount of cash.

The occupants of the residence were each arrested and charged with possession of more than an ounce of marijuana, conspiracy to violate the Uniform Controlled Substance Act, maintaining a place to sell controlled substances, contributing to a delinquency of a minor, child endangerment, unlawful sale of controlled substance, sale of marijuana, drug crime near a school.

Andre Longmire, 37, was additionally charged with being an ex-felon who failed to register and is being held on $40,632 bail.

Among the others: Angelica Longmire, age not given, is being held on $35,632 bail. Valentino Barreras, 20, had his bail for the same charges set at $40,000. Fernando Cook, 20, is also being held on $40,000 bail.

The unnamed juvenile is facing the same charges as the incarcerated adults.
