SPECIAL TO THE PVT

Lake Mead's National Park Service personnel were to move the fishing pier from its temporary location at Horsepower Cove to its permanent location just north of the Hemenway Harbor Launch Ramp Thursday.

Anglers can access the fishing pier in its permanent location by driving down the Hemenway Harbor access road. At the top of the launch ramp, turn left onto the dirt Boulder Beach access road.

The location of the fishing pier is marked with a sign.

This permanent location for the fishing pier was identified in the Lake Management Plan and the Low Water Amendment to the General Management Plan for Lake Mead National Recreation Area.

The Nevada Department of Wildlife will begin stocking fish at the permanent location.
