PHOTOS WILD WILD WEST!
 Bank robbers run into more than they can handle as they make a play on the Wild West bank. A showgirl looks on in horror as a blaze of gunfire from Sheriff "Tough Tony" DeMeo lays them out on the dirt street.  A duded-up DeMeo is clearly pleased at his handiwork.  Pahrump Postmaster Bob Philpot hands off the mail to Michelle Phillips during the sixth annual Pony Express Ride on Homestead Road Saturday morning. Fifty-eight participants enjoyed ideal weather conditions for the 16-mile ride around the west end of Pahrump Valley. Letters could be mailed for $5, the same cost as a letter sent via the original Pony Express in 1860-61.  The corps of JROTC cadets at Pahrump Valley High School manages to hang onto the American flag amidst a steady strong wind during Friday's opening ceremonies.  A young girl seems awestruck at her first closeup view of a full-grown horse, in this case a Columbian Paso Fino.  Two tough-looking gents take it easy beneath the wanted posters at the sheriff's office.
