Trojans' spikers rally past The MeadowsLAS VEGAS -- Pahrump Valley's volleyball team bounced back from a 25-13 loss to defeated homestandingThe Meadows 25-8, 25-21 and 25-18 in a non-league match Tuesday. The Trojans, 12-7, will play at home today against Lake Mead Christian Academy, with varsity action to begin at 5 p.m. After his team rallied to beat the Lady Mustangs, Richard Barker, the first-year coach, said, "The match shows we are still struggling to find some consistency. "We started off with another dropped game against a school with better defense. Once again serve receive continues to plague us. It is better, but ... "The girls demonstrated a bit of confidence by coming from behind after trailing by four points until about the 15th point when we begin to make a solid effort that culminated in a game win," said Barker. In the third game, the Trojans took a commanding lead (15-2) then let The Meadows slowly reduce the lead. "The fourth game was mostly a given that we would eventually prevail," said Barker. Serving errors were a problem in first game, according to Barker, who noted, "After that they were more minimal."
