Shawn Haggerty shot an 89 -- 20 strokes below her average -- to lead Las Vegas Faith Lutheran to a 466-467 victory against Pahrump Valley, in a Southern Nevada Class 3-A League girls golf match Thursday at CasaBlanca in Mesquite.

The Lady Trojans maintained their lead in the league, with 38 out of a possible 40 points. Faith Lutheran has 36, while host Virgin Valley, third Thursday with 474, has 34. Boulder City shot 508 and is fourth with 28 points. Overton Moapa Valley has yet to field a team and has no points.

The Southern teams are at Mountain Falls Thursday for the fifth in a series of seven league matches. Tee time is 11 a.m. on the par 72, 6,000-yard course.

Pahrump Valley's Desiree Fortin moved into within a half point of the Southern 3-A player of the year standings lead, earning medalist honors with a 77 on the par 72, 5,800-yard CasaBlanca course.

Candra Sumedhatip of Faith Lutheran had an 86, as did Virgin Valley's Brittany Thurston and Samantha Bulloch, as they all tied for second Thursday. Sumedhatip has 45 points, while Fortin has 44.5.

For the defending league, regional and state champion Trojans, Ashley Keller had 90, Courtney Salmon 100, Ashlee Bartholomew 94, and Jasper Biggs 106. In a non-scoring round, Meghan Morales had 115 for Pahrump Valley.

Kaitlin Main had 95, Brooke Prendes 98, Brittany Ballantyne 98 and Becca Reighard 99 for Faith Lutheran.

For Virgin Valley, Amanda Bulloch had 94, Nakelle Faught 96, Felisha Baeza 112 and Hannah Bulloch 116.

Boulder City's Ashley Vince shot 96, while Ana McCollum had 98, Margot Potter 97, Heidi Harteis 102, Bethany Smith 115, and Bridget Ward 131.

For Moapa Valley, Shalyce Parashonts had 112, Tracy Swanson 116, Bethany Wilson 127 and Nadia Alvidrez 127.
