Pike wins, in chase with Kiefer

Jason Pike earned his 100th IMCA modified feature victory Saturday night at the Pahrump Valley Speedway.

In the 25-lap race on the quarter-mile dirt oval, Pike beat long-time rival Levi Kiefer to the checkered flag. They were the only two drivers on the lead lap at the finish.

Fred White was third, completing 22 laps. Leland Hibdon had trouble and was able to go just nine laps. Fifth was Jerry Buesig Jr. Kelly Buesig did not start.

In the super stock 20-lap feature, Daniel Katzer won, with five rivals on the last lap with him.

Rick VanBuytene was second, followed by Bryan Wulfenstein, Dale Daffern, Milo Petaros and Keith Gott Sr.

John Pietorazio was seventh, with Dan Snowden eighth and Stacy Stinson ninth.

Frankie England won the mini-stock feature, which had nine drivers on the lead lap when the checkered flag fell.

Joe Rogers Jr., Keith Young, Rick Gast, Terri Little, Bubba Ray, Bill Delahunte, John Dearborn and Eric Slusher finished second through ninth, respectively. Rick VanBuytene completed the top 10.

Also racing were John Burch Jr., Alex Buckwalter, Mike Lysinger, Tom Buckwalter, Jamie Hall, Richard Weseman, Tony Martin, Chad Broadhead, Harold Killian and J.J. Meyers.

Sam Stringer won the 15-lap Coupes of Nevada main, with Bob Clark, Brett Iverson, Mike Gray and Steve Stringer all finishing the race.

The micro-sprints debuted, with Errol Sharron winning the 15-lap event. John Hawkins was second, with Bob Clark third. Eddie Sharron did not start.

Cory Little won the pro-4 feature that had Marty Mclaugh finish second, Eric Sheinberg third and Terri Little fourth.

Results of the outlaw karts race were not reported.
