Two busted for marijuana

The Nye County Sheriff's Street Crime Unit received information Sept. 13, that two subjects were allegedly growing marijuana at 3200 E. Paiute Blvd., and members of the Narcotic Task Force and Street Crime Unit hastened to that location.

Upon arrival, deputies met with Jeffrey Mann, 34. Mann admitted to smoking marijuana and offered up his multi-colored glass pipe, which is commonly used for smoking marijuana.

While speaking with Mann in the doorway, deputies report smelling a strong odor of marijuana emitting from the residence. Mann was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia.

Upon serving a search warrant, approximately 124 fully grown marijuana plants were removed from the residence. The street weight of the plants once dried is approximately 30 pounds.

While all this was going on, Richard Mann, 35, arrived at the residence and admitted to growing the marijuana. He was arrested for cultivation of marijuana and possession of marijuana.

Jeffrey Mann was booked into the Pahrump Detention Center for possession of drug paraphernalia. He is being held on $632 bail. Richard Mann was booked for possession of marijuana and cultivation of marijuana into the Pahrump Detention Center. He is being held on $15,000 bail.
