The Nevada Board of Wildlife Commissioners wants input on the qualities of an ideal candidate for the position of Director of the Department of Wildlife.

The commission's search committee will present three candidates to Gov. Ken Guinn to select from. The past director, Terry Crawforth, retired in July of this year.

The search committee is holding public meetings in Elko, Reno, and Las Vegas to gather public input. The Las Vegas meeting will be held Tuesday at 6 p.m. at the Nevada Department of Wildlife offices, 4747 Vegas Drive. For directions call 486-5127.

If people are unable to attend the meeting, their comments can be sent to Kristina Ross, Department of Wildlife, Human Resources, 4600 Kietzke Lane, Suite D-135, Reno, NV 89502, or in an e-mail to krisn@ndow.org.

Interviews for the wildlife director are scheduled for Dec. 7 and 8 at the Reno headquarters of the department.
