A Monday business-to-business lunch in the bingo room at Terrible's Lakeside will feature a candidates' forum focusing on the state Assembly District 36 race.

Candidates Ed Goedhart, Laurayne Murray and David Holmgren are expected to be on hand at the 11:45 a.m. event, sponsored by the Pahrump Valley Chamber of Commerce.

The trio will engage in a panel discussion that will address five issues designed to explore their views on issues and programs that may affect small businesses in the rural communities of the state, said Kari Frilot, chamber CEO.

"The questions will be supplied to the candidates prior to the lunch so that they may prepares their responses," Frilot said in a release announcing the event. "Each candidate will have two minutes to respond to each question, followed by an open question-and-answer period for 10 minutes."

Lunch is $8; those planning to attend to should RSVP the chamber office at 727-5800 so an accurate count may be prepared.

"The chamber would like to give the citizens of Pahrump an opportunity to meet and hear from each of the assembly candidates in a non-partisan setting," Frilot said.
