500 club sets

The Pahrump Valley 500 Club will host a certified singles tournament Saturday in the Nugget.

Squad times are 12:30 p.m. and 3 p.m.

Honorary members will be able to bowl one squad free in the tournament that is open to all club members and groupies.

Entry forms are on the Web site, www.pahrump bowlers.com, as well as at Terry Hand Realty or the bowling center.

Tournament directors are Jan Johnston and Lee Hall.

Winners have been named in the Pahrump Valley Tournament Bowling Club's 'Snake-Bite' event at the Nugget Aug. 26.

They were:

Division A -- Jim Vernon, 793; Wes Randolph, 759; Jerry Adams, 730, and Dennis Lewis, 727.

Division B -- Barbara Blackburn, 868; Randy Higginbotham, 824; Mary Neese, 800; James Essex, 763; Gilbert Johnson, 763; Bette Sloan,752; Keith Plouck, 743, and Jerry Neese, 737.

Division C -- Ken Beasley, 819; Margarete Caldwell, 794; Sharon Cole, 792, and Dottie Boosel, 755.

A no-tap tournament will be held Sept. 23, with Desmoni Plumbing the sponsor.
