Southern Utah University has scheduled the first Thunderbird Co-Ed Slow-Pitch Softball tournament, to be contested Sept. 15-16 at Cedar City, Utah.

With a $150 entry fee, tourney organizers say there will be a three-game guarantee in the double-elimination event. There will be a one home run limit.

The tournament is a fund raiser for the Southern Utah fast-pitch softball team, which includes Pahrump Valley High School product Veronica Villa.

The Thunderbirds announced their 2007 spring fast-pitch schedule, with the team slated to play three times in Las Vegas -- the Louisville Slugger tournament at UNLV Feb. 15-18; a neutral-site contest against Hawaii Feb. 19, and the UNLV Invitational March 2-3-4.
