Meetings slated

The Nugget Bowl has scheduled several organizational meetings for its fall leagues.

They are:

Tuesday -- Pahrump Fours League, 9 a.m., Sept. 5; Tuesday Seniors, 1 p.m., Sept. 19; Merchant Men, 5:30 p.m., Sept. 5; Men's 900 Handicap (held Aug. 29).

Wednesday -- After School Kids, to be announced; League of Horns (Elks, Moose members only), Sept. 6, TBA; Pahrump Fives, Sept. 6, 5:15 p.m.

Thursday -- Red Hat Society, Oct. 5, 9 a.m.; Thursday Seniors, Sept.7, Noon; Thursday Night Mixed, Sept. 7, 6 p.m.; Pares and Spares, Sept. 7, 8 p.m.

Friday -- Non-Smoking League, Sept. 15, 11 a.m.; TGIF, Sept. 8, 5:15 p.m.

Saturday -- Bumpers, Oct. 7, 9 a.m.; Saturday Teens, Sept. 9, 11 a.m.; Nugget Juniors, Sept. 9, 8:30 a.m.; Saturday Night Rollers, Sept. 16, 5:30 p.m.

Sunday -- Family Time, Sept. 10, Noon; Strike Zone, Sept. 10, 5 p.m.

Champions recognized

Champions in 11 summer bowling leagues have been recognized by the Nugget Bowling Center.

They are:

Afternoon Break League -- Git R Dun.

Nugget Dolls -- Four Queens.

Pahrump 4s II -- The Devil Made Me Do It.

Summer Singles -- Bill Tognetti.

Coffee League II -- Alley Kats.

Wednesday Night Mixer -- The Misfits.

Thursday Seniors II -- The Devils.

Funtime Bowlers -- Snipe Hunters.

TGIF -- Bad Company.

Saturday Juniors II -- Play 2 Win.

Saturday Teens II -- Team 5.

Notices

A league for non-smokers is being formed at the Nugget Bowling Center.

The league will compete at noon Fridays, starting Sept. 15. Players must register for the league before Sept. 14 at the Nugget.

The Homeschool League's fall season will run from Sept. 13 through Nov. 1, with action beginning at 9:15 a.m. Wednesdays.

The league is open for boys and girls 3 to 17 years old; no experience is necessary. Coaching advice will be made available. The cost is $48 per child.
