Beatty edges Round Mountain

Beatty defeated Nye County rival Round Mountain 22-16, while Tonopah gained a victory by forfeit over Henderson Warren-Walker in Nevada Class A Central Division football games last weekend.

In another Central game, Indian Springs surprised Spring Mountain 42-24.

Tonopah is 2-0 in the division, 6-1 in all games, while Beatty is 2-1, 4-3 and in a second place tie with Indian Springs (2-1, 2-5).

Round Mountain is 1-2, 3-5, with Spring Mountain at 1-2, 2-5, and Warren-Walker, 0-3, 2-4.

Warren-Walker indicated it will forfeit its remaining games because of a lack of players. Last week, nine of 14 players reportedly were ineligible, which caused the forfeiture of the home game against Tonopah.

In games Friday, it will be Beatty at Tonopah and Spring Mountain at Round Mountain. Indian Springs will win by forfeit against Warren-Walker.
