Mr. and Mrs. Emerson J. West of Gonzales, La., have proudly announced the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter Erin Nicole West to Jared D. Cox of Las Vegas.

The ceremony will be held at 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 20, 2006, at St. Theresa of Avila Catholic Church. A reception will immediately follow the ceremony at Elegant Affairs in Gonzales.

Erin is a graduate of East Ascension High School and attended Louisiana State University. She is a graduate of Our Lady of the Lake School of Nursing and is employed as a registered nurse at Woman's Hospital in Baton Rouge, La.

Her maternal grandparents are Mary Speligene and the late Sam Speligene Sr., of Brittany, La., and the late John Richard West and Mary Leontine West of Galvez, La.

Jared is the son of Jean Cox and the late Harold Kenneth Cox of Pahrump. He is a graduate of Pahrump Valley High School and is currently employed as a service technician at West Texas Lighting.

After a honeymoon to Disneyworld in Orlando, Fla., the couple will reside in Gonzales.
