BEATTY -- Lund, one of the top Class A volleyball programs in Nevada for several years, visits Beatty for a Central Class A Division doubleheader Friday, starting at 3 p.m. in the Hornets' gym.

Both the Mustangs and homestanding Hornets are coming off division setbacks.

While Beatty lost 25-23, 25-16 and 25-18, 25-16 to Henderson Warren-Walker Thursday, Lund was falling 25-18, 25-19 and 25-23, 23-25, 15-4 at Tonopah.

"There are always momentum shifts in volleyball, where teams are able to string a lot of points together," said Mike Duszynski, the Beatty coach. In the 25-23 loss, the Hornets led most of that game, "then we seemed to play a little worse each game after that.

"The longest serving string we had, I think, was four," said Duszynski, in analyzing his team's problems in facing the Wolverines. "We have to develop more consistency, avoid getting lethargic and not getting down on ourselves.

"We've been working on some stuff to find that consistency," said the veteran coach, whose team has lost four straight matches.
