AT PBR WORLD FINALS Lostroh earns bull ride victory
LAS VEGAS -- Kody Lostroh won the third round of the PBR Built Ford Tough World Finals on Sunday, while world leader Guilherme Marchi was bucked off for the second straight round at the Mandalay Bay Events Center. Lostroh, from Longmont, Colo., had an 88.75-point ride on Naccarto Bucking Bulls' Squaw Butte to take the $20,000 first-place check. Ross Coleman of Molalla, Ore., was second with an 88.5 on Page & Teague Bucking Bulls' Squirt Gun. Marchi, from Brazil, leads the season standings with 10,291.25 points, followed by Mike Lee of Decatur, Texas, at 8,836.75, and Sean Willingham of Summerville, Ga., 8,547.50. Lee, the season money leader with $301,512, tied for sixth with an 86.5. L.J. Jenkins of Texico, N.M., leads the three-round event standings with 268 points. Adriano Moraes of Brazil was second at 262.25. On Sunday, Jenkins finished fourth with an 87.25, and Moraes was eighth with an 86. Also Sunday, Mossy Oaks Gunslinger was selected the 2006 PBR World Champion Bull in a vote by the top bull riders in the world. Mossy Oaks Gunslinger will be retired following next week's final five rounds of the world finals to determine the season champion and the winner of the $1 million bonus. |
