Blackburns win 500 club tourney

Barb and Larry Blackburn rolled a 1,586 no-tap series to win the Class A division in a Pahrump Valley 500 Club tournament Saturday at the Nugget.

Barb Blackburn teamed with Jim Hargraves to win Division B, totaling 1,657. In Division C, Margarete Caldwell and Joe Bancroft were first with 1,620.

The 500 side pot was won by Barb Blackburn with a 913; the Groupie sidepot went to Dave Williams with 888.

Terry Johnston won the 50-50 drawing. Sonny Sanders and Jim Reynolds bowled 300 no-tap games.

The next 500 Club tournament will be Aug. 12 and will be a combination of 10-pin, snake bite and 9-pin no-tap events.
