The pair of alleged house burglars reported in Wednesday's PVT, who attempted to kidnap a senior citizen from a Mountain Falls residence last Friday night, have been identified as Nicholas Needham, 25, of Las Vegas, and Joshua Hutchens, also 25, of Everett, Wash.

Needham was charged with attempted conspiracy to coercion and burglary involving a person over 65; Hutchens was charged with attempted kidnapping in the first degree with a deadly weapon involving a person over 65, attempted false imprisonment with a deadly weapon, burglary of a residence belonging to a person over 65 and attempted coercion and conspiracy to commit crime.

A third person believed to have been involved on the scene of the crime was not apprehended and is still at large, said Capt. Bill Becht, in charge of the sheriff's southern command.

In another incident Saturday, Ken Carter, 55, was booked in the Pahrump detention facility on charges of burglary auto and obstruction of justice. Carter's crime was taking a wallet lying in an open vehicle parked at China Wok on Dahlia Street.

Carter allegedly reached into the parked truck and lifted the wallet, according to Capt. Becht.

A couple of people saw him take the wallet, according to Becht, and followed him to the Albertson's parking lot, where a deputy arrested him. Bail was set at $5,632.
