9 Rodeo was hugely popular in the Pahrump Valley in 2006, with McCullough Arena hosting several major events.

The Nevada High School Rodeo Association made its annual two-day appearance in the spring. And out of that competition emerged the Trojans' Dustin Tibbits, who won the state championship in bull riding and qualified for the National High School Finals Rodeo.

The Women's Professional Rodeo Association put on a highly-entertaining two-night show in the summer, with a couple ladies showing off their abilities -- and entertaining an appreciative audience -- by completing successful bull rides.

The Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association three-day show during the Fall Festival attracted record crowds, and the cowboys and cowgirls reaped the benefit of more than $35,000 in payoffs.
