HENDERSON -- A short-handed Pahrump Valley High School volleyball team struggled in the always tough Las Vegas Invitational this past weekend, winning four of eight matches, including a 2-0 loss to Southern Nevada Class 3-A League rival Overton Moapa Valley.

AT LAS VEGAS THURSDAY: Pahrump Valley's girls win first 3-A golf match
A year ago, the Pahrump Valley High School girls golf team shot 466 as it won its first Southern Nevada Class 3-A League match. Coach Julie Floyd's team went on to win the league, regional and state championships.
