Tracy Byrd slated for Fall Festival
A country music performer with well-known recording hits among his many tunes is scheduled for a show at the upcoming Pahrump Fall Festival. Tracy Byrd will be performing live on stage Sept. 28 at the McCullough Rodeo Arena, beginning at 7 p.m. Byrd has become one of country music's core artists. A Texas-born traditionalist equally skilled at serving up playful hits like "Watermelon Crawl" and "The Truth About Men," Byrd gained fame for his signature song, "Keeper of the Stars," which netted the Academy of Country Music's song-of-the-year award for 1996. Tickets are on sale at four locations in Pahrump: Ace Hardware, the Pahrump Valley Chamber of Commerce, Shadow Mountain Feed and the Pahrump Winery. Prices are $15 for grandstand seating and $25 for standing-only on the arena floor. Gates open at 6 p.m. The show kicks off at 7 p.m. with Amanda Corriher, one of Nashville's most popular female acts, opening for Byrd. The show is made possible by the town of Pahrump and the Pahrump Fall Festival Committee. |
