Sarah and Bill Nelson of Pahrump celebrated 50 years of marriage Aug. 20 by renewing their vows, with their son Robert Nelson officiating.

Out-of-town family attending the renewal of vows ceremony were Dorothy Bensinger and family of Elsie, Mich.; Diana May and family of Las Vegas; Mary Baker and family of Pahrump; Ovian Nelson of Pahrump; and Michelle Alvarado and family of Pahrump.

The Nelsons were married Aug. 20, 1956, in Bakersfield, Calif.
