Multiple sclerosis bowling fundraiser

Pahrump Valley MS Connection Inc. will hold its first annual multiple sclerosis "Strike Out MS" bowling fundraiser at 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. Aug. 27 at the Nugget.

The cost is $15 per person (price includes shoes). All ages are welcome. The last day to sign up is Thursday.

Power wheelchairs

Power (electric) wheelchairs for senior citizens and the permanently disabled are available through the Miracle on Wheels program at no cost to the recipient if they qualify.

The wheelchairs are provided to those who cannot walk and cannot self-propel a manual wheelchair in their home, and who meet the additional guidelines of the program. No deposit is required.

Church presenting 'Mayhem in Mayville'

The First Southern Baptist Church invites the community to an interactive dinner theater, "Mayhem in Mayville," being held at 6 p.m. Saturday at the church on 741 E. Fehrs Way.

Who killed Buc, the most popular and well-liked man in town? The audience will help solve this "who dun it."

Relay For Life event

The American Cancer Society invites people who want to honor cancer survivors, caregivers or pay tribute to those who have lost their battle with cancer to join their Relay For Life event, starting at 6 p.m. Saturday and ending at 6 a.m. Sunday at Petrack Park.
