McRae, Henningsen

Mr. and Mrs. Cameron and Susan McRae have announced the engagement of their son Jonathan Cameron McRae to Sara Lynn Henningsen.

Jonathan was a 1997 graduate of Pahrump Valley High School. He attended the University of Nevada, Reno, where he graduated with a B.S. in civil engineering and is currently working for an engineering firm in Reno.

Sara, the daughter of Michael and Barbara Henningsen of Gardnerville, was a 2003 graduate of Douglas High School in Gardnerville. She also graduated from the University of Nevada, Reno with a B.S. degree in education; she was a recipient of a university regents' scholar award. She is currently teaching at a local Reno elementary school.

The couple met through mutual friends at the university and have been dating for two years. They were engaged July 2, 2005, at Twin Lakes in California.

The wedding ceremonies are planned for Sept. 30, 2006, at St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Reno.

Richardson, Murdock

Mr. and Mrs. Richard Richardson of Las Vegas have announced the engagement of their daughter Misty Marie to Curtis Lee Murdock, son of Mrs. Shirley Murdock of Pahrump and the late William Murdock.

Ms. Richardson is a former deputy brand inspector for the State and a sixth-generation native Nevadan. She is currently pursuing a career in child advocacy.

Mr. Murdock received multiple athletic scholarships and attended UNLV, majoring in sports medicine. He is currently employed by BPB Gypsum.

The couple enjoys many outdoor sports activities and will share a future home in Pahrump.

The wedding is planned for March 2007 in Las Vegas.
