HORACE LANGFORD JR. / PVT Eight Pahrump Dragon Cloud Dojo competitors recently competed in the National Black Belt League "Dual in the Desert" tournament at the Plaza Hotel-Casino in Las Vegas. Six of the participants -- Tom Wujek Jr., Steve McKnight, Scott Taylor, Anthony Vega, Kayla Mae Skilling and Amber Skilling -- are pictured; not present were Jerry D. Hall and Kyle Ray Bartolucci. Winning their respective events were Wujek, McKnight, Vega and Amber Skilling. The tournament was promoted by Jody Sasaki, a martial arts champion and instructor and attracted more than 1,100 entries from several states, including South Carolina and Texas. The tournament is a qualifier for the Super Grand World Karate Championships.
