Rachel Lindemann, who helped lead the Pahrump Valley High School girls' golf team to the Nevada Class 3-A state championship last fall, added another title to her resume.

Competing in the Gene Goins Memorial, the traditional end to the Pahrump Valley Junior Golf Association tournament season, Lindemann, a class of 2006 graduate, shot 70-71-141 on the par 60, 3,600-yard Lakeview Executive course Monday and Tuesday. Two shots back (69-74-143) was Ashley Keller, who will be a sophomore at PVHS and was also on that championship team.

Also competing in the 15-18 group were Courtney Salmon, who had 86-76-162, and Jasper Biggs, who finished at 92-85-177. Both were on the Lady Trojans' title team last fall, as were Desiree Fortin and Hailey Forry, who did not complete their Goins tournament rounds.

Fortin, a two-time Southern Nevada Class 3-A Player of the Year, shot a 63 Monday, but she had to fulfill her commitment in the Southern Nevada Junior Golf Association Tournament of Champions Tuesday and withdrew. Forry had 86 Monday, but had to withdraw Tuesday.

In the boys 15-18 division, Brad Leske emerged as champion, recording 85-90-175 to edge Richard Martindale by one stroke (87-89-176). Daniel Spradlin was third with 105-99-204.
