DON McDERMOTT / PVT Pop Warner football has returned for a second season in Pahrump, with two teams preparing to start league play in September. Joe Clayton, in the yellow T-shirt, will direct the Pahrump Rush, while Thomas Walker will coach the Pahrump Mighty Mites. The football teams and cheerleading squads began their preseason drills last week at Rosemary Clarke Middle School, where the Rush and Mites are expected to play a few home games this fall. Pop Warner football in Southern Nevada is headquartered in Las Vegas.
