SHE REIGNS: Moen is new Miss Pahrump
When the Miss Pahrump Pageant began in 1976 and Marina Hennigh claimed the inaugural title of "queen," she won by selling the most tickets to the Harvest Festival rodeo that year.

Seven-year-old Derek Moore shot a seven-over-par 37 Monday to take the first-day lead in the Gene Goins Memorial, a Pahrump Valley Junior Golf Association tournament that ends the 2005-2006 season. The tournament ended its two-day run on the par 60, 3,600-yard Lakeview Executive course Tuesday.
