Hospice is collecting old cell phones to raise funds
Nathan Adelson Hospice is seeking used cell phones. The Pahrump facility has joined forces with Collective Good, a cell phone recycling organization, to collect old phones throughout the community. The hospice will benefit from the funds raised through sale of the phones to Collective Good, which in turn will refurbish the phones for distribution outside the United States. The community will benefit because the used phones will not wind up in the landfill, said Tonya Brum, community relations coordinator for the hospice. The drop-off sites for old phones has been set up at Community Partners, Martinizing Dry Cleaners, Nevada Federal Credit Union, Valley Electric Association and the Wine Cellar, as well as Nathan Adelson Hospice itself. For more information, call Brum at 751-5601. |
