LETTER: Be like us or else

Hispanic immigrants are disgracing this nation by protesting in our homeland against our government's solutions to eliminate immigration situations. If our solutions are not suitable, why do they stay here?

We are not against anyone becoming a citizen. Do it through proper channels. Many protestors are Hispanic, but where in the hell does someone not yet a citizen in a new country get the idea they have the right to protest into wanting our government to change laws to fit their needs? Are we to continually expect these reprisals? Immigrants have certain rights, but not demanding the United States to bend to their wishes.

They may mean well, but leaders of the pack are steering them down the wrong road. Anyone that uses these tactics in the form of a revolution to make change, I'm against being here.

Protest for change in your own country before putting others in turmoil. Change was brought to Mexico once by your forefathers. Our schools and hospitals are overrun with immigrants. With no health insurance, who's paying your bills? To work here you must conform to our way of life. Pay taxes, learn English and get health insurance. By not paying these, if earning $10 an hour, you are actually making $20 an hour and we taxpayers are footing your bills.

Get your citizenship and earn a high school diploma, not a completion certificate. Pay your dues and have a representative take your problems to Washington. It's the American way.
