TERMINATION TUESDAY
Nye commission fires top officials

In what amounted to little more than a 10-minute housekeeping issue, the first piece of business settled at Tuesday's Nye County Board of Commissioners' meeting was to terminate the employment of Nye County Manager Michael Maher and Comptroller Marie Owens. The action occurred in a 3-2 vote held in public session.
