LETTER: Marines, mats

Hello, my name is Neil Cowley. I am currently deployed in Fallujah, Iraq with the United States Marines and have been here for the last 4 years off and on. I am a resident of Pahrump. Well at least when I am not out here in the sandbox.

I always try to find time to read the Pahrump Valley Times via the Internet when I get the chance. The first thing that I do is go to the sports section and see how the wrestling team is doing.

I used to wrestle for coach Reiger and man do I miss it. I cannot help but notice that they are doing exceptionally well. I know that state is coming up and I sure hope that they take the trophy home. They sure do deserve it. I want to wish everybody good luck and hold nothing back, because you only get one chance, and then its over. Congratulations on your season so far.

Just reading the articles just makes me want to be back on the mats and go for a good six full minutes. But I guess when I get back I can meet up with coach Reiger and take him to the mats.

Well I just wanted to wish all the wrestlers all the best of luck again, and all the other athletes of Pahrump Valley High School.

Sincerely yours,

NEIL J COWLEY

Editor's note: The Pahrump Valley Times, unfortunately, did not receive this fine young man's letter in time to print it prior to the state tournament. The Trojans won the regional championship and brought home a state champion.
