BEATTY - When Mark Fleming, President/CEO of Xtreme Cars and Stars gets an idea - he gets a big one.

His latest idea is to build the Xtreme Cars and Stars Hotel/Casino developed and designed around hot cars of all generations.

Talks have already been held with the Town Board of Beatty, and it welcomed Fleming's idea with open arms.

Although he said, "There are four locations that have possibilities, Beatty is by far the most cost effective."

Why not Pahrump, you ask? Well, if you were building it, and had to look at spending thousands of dollars on fees to build in Pahrump, or no fees at all to build in Beatty - which would you choose?

One might say something like, Pahrump is closer to Las Vegas, or it has a higher population base. However, the theme of Fleming's endeavor revolves around the automobile.

If you love your car, you love to drive your car. Therefore, it really doesn't matter if you have to drive another 30 miles or so to get there.

Not only that, but what other casino welcomes your car with open arms by providing a cruise road around its perimeter, or a $2.7 million race track where you can challenge your friends to see whose car is fastest?

Fleming started the first phase of his business eight and a half years ago with a product line that has a patented design process.

Products include T-shirts, hats, pens, and specially crafted 3-D metal carvings of classic hot rods and more. These products are currently sold at his Las Vegas store. As time progressed and his products became a big hit, the hotel/casino began to take shape.

Since the car is virtually considered an international language, enthusiasts from all over the world are expected to come and use the cruise road, racetrack, golf course, mechanical shops and other amenities.

The automobile is part of most everyone's life, at least here in America, and mingling with other car lovers, race drivers, stars that love to show off their cars and other well known professional and non-professional car people is a lure that many can't resist.

Each area of the facility will feature a SmartConnect infrastructure to satisfy everyone's electronic desires.

Unique in its style and design, it's geared toward those who are in love with their cars, or love cars in general.

With NASCAR trimmings and Indianapolis 500 lines, this hotel/casino is one of a kind. Rooms in the hotel will be a car lover's dream. Each will have a specific car theme and will reflect the concept of specific automobiles. The typical suite and penthouse floors encompass 24,700 square feet. There are a total of 20 floors for a total hotel space of 494,000 square feet.

The casino, of course, will also be designed with the automobile in mind. Consisting of 75,678 square feet, it will include a race/sports book, hotrod bar, juice bar, and automotive themed restaurants. The gambling area is 43,300 square feet with an exhibition area for cars.

Fleming said he won't stop there. The facility will feature condominiums available for purchase, and time-share units.

A tennis and recreation facility will include championship courts, poolrooms, fitness area, and more. The jogging track will encircle a small manmade lake. A go-cart course will allow both young and old to enjoy the feel of racing. An old-fashion drive-in theater will take you back to a simpler time of watching a movie (or not) from your car and will feature the latest movies, as well as the famous snack bar of old.

A championship 18-hole golf course and 50,000 square-foot pool area are other amenities.

The golf course is to be designed by a well-known PGA tournament winner Fleming declined to identify and plans are developing to hold a PGA tournament at the facility. An RV park, which will have full hook up facilities for all shapes and sizes of recreational vehicles; including Internet and cable access, is also in the plan.

Fleming's remarkable idea fills a void among themed hotel/casinos, most that appeal to a specific group of interests, or use nightclubs to draw the young to their facilities. The car is king at the Xtreme Cars and Stars.

A totally unheard of concept that also features a floating restaurant suspended at the top of the facility is included. The circular design incorporates the racetrack feel to keep everyone in the car mode. Even the shopping areas are a circular shape.

And, if anyone suffers an accident or catches the flu or otherwise needs medical assistance, a fully staffed medical complex is included as part of the overall make up of the property layout.

There are no car-themed hotel/casinos anywhere in the world. The theme of this facility is expected to attract millions of visitors and car enthusiasts. It is also bigger than any current hotel/casino anywhere.

Fleming welcomes questions and potential investors on his Web site, www.XtremeCarsandStars.com, or via e-mail at mflemingxtreme@yahoo.com. You can also reach him by calling 702-496-0644. He estimates that it will take approximately $1 billion (that's with a B), to complete the project as designed. Presentations of the idea have been well received by executives from many different businesses around the country.

To borrow an old saying, "Build it and they will come," is an understatement. Fleming is working on funding right now, but has no doubts that he will get what he needs. He knows "they will come." Fleming states, "Everyone enjoys a great ride, and this hotel casino will offer a whole new ride of entertainment that will create a whole new lifestyle."
