Tana Naas, center, exits Pahrump Justice Court with her supporters Thursday. Naas appeared for her pretrial hearing before Judge Tina Brisebill, facing 60 counts of cruelty to animals in a case involving 68 small dogs, mainly Yorkies and silkies, which she relinquished to the county. In her first appearance on Dec. 12, Naas entered a plea of not guilty. Various animal advocates, as well as Nye County staff from both the animal shelter and animal control were in the courtroom. The case was continued until March because the District Attorney's Office did not have time to fully review the case.
